Romans 12:21       

With persecution comprising such an omnipresent force in our Jewish heritage as well as in the early Christian era, we must never become the "enemy," even as we are defending our faith. Even when our freedom of religion is at issue, we must resist the urge to have anything other than Jesus' love in our hearts. And the best way to protect our own freedom is to take firm stands when we see the personal liberties of others under assail.
